The challenge

Traffic and rankings can look encouraging in a marketing report, but they don't tell the whole story.

For B2B businesses, it's important to understand whether organic marketing is bringing in people who eventually become meaningful sales opportunities.

I worked on connecting organic lead tracking with sales feedback so that marketing performance could be evaluated beyond the initial website visit.

What I worked on

I built and maintained Salesforce-integrated lead tracking to identify marketing-qualified leads by source and campaign.

I also worked directly with the sales team to review lead quality weekly. This helped create a closer connection between the leads marketing generated and the leads sales considered worth pursuing.

Alongside this, I used reporting and performance insights to help identify opportunities to improve targeting and lead quality.

What I learned

This experience changed how I think about marketing measurement.

Traffic, rankings, and conversions each tell us something, but they become more useful when we connect them to what happens further down the funnel.

It also reinforced the value of collaboration between marketing and sales. Better outcomes often depend on both teams agreeing on what a qualified lead looks like.

My role

Organic lead tracking, Salesforce integration, sales collaboration, and performance analysis.
